Unknowingly born her generation's chosen one, Buffy Summers was initiated as the Slayer when she was just fifteen years old. After a run-in with the vampire lord in her hometown of Los Angeles, Buffy moved to Sunnydale, California, where she became guardian of the Hellmouth, destroying any supernatural baddies who threatened to pass through the gates of hell and wreak havoc on humanity. Intent on enjoying her teen years, the burden of being the chosen one wore on Buffy, but she soon realized her destiny and dutifully took up the mantle of saving the world as the Slayer.
